Tai Lam Chung Night riding?

4 years 5 months ago #3510 by Tally Ho
Does anyone know if its allowed to night ride (8pm ish) Tai Lam Chung reservoir trail? If so, can you still get in through the main gate, or would you have to get there and start before sunset?

Appreciate any advice.
Thx

From the AFCD MTB Code of Conduct:

"Mountain bike trail/site is only suitable for use in day time, please “DO NOT” ride on mountain bike trail/site after dark".

However if you do want to ride those trails at night there is probably no-one stopping you. Except for wild pigs and the occasional ghost...

Cool!... and thanks! I don't mind pigs and ghosts, or even ghostly pigs.

No problems at all, was there riding just last evening into night, best time of day to ride actually in the summer! The gate at Siu Lam usually open all hours as the reservoir sees a lot of night fishing as well.

Thanks Steve, I'm there tomorrow for a big Tai Mo ride in the day and plan to end up at Tai Lam Chung around sunset. We'll bring bike lights so that we can ride after sunset and do a lap at night.

Oh and one more thing Steve, is that new trail at the top of Tai Mo Shan finished or ready to ride?
