Anyone interested going to Tai Lam Country Park on a Sunday morning?

We're going to hire a Van and need one or two more riders to share the transportation cost.

We'll go from Chai Wan to the Tai Lam Country Park and will pick you up along the way.

There must be a total of 4 riders in order to make the trip coz it is about HK300 one way. Fewer than 4 riders would make the transportation too expensive. Five riders would be too crowded in a Van.

sathish,

Of course you can join. Pls send me your contact.

I'm trying to get the number of riders so to determine how many Van that we need for transportation. We need exactly 4 riders for 1 Van in order to make the trip affordable. 5 guys would be too crowded...

You live in Sai Ying Pun, there is a rider living in the same district :)

Right now there are 6 riders, with 4 rider per Van, can only fill one Van.

Island Line 港島綫
•Chai Wan 柴灣/小西灣
•Heng Fa Chuen 杏花 x 2
•Quarry Bay 則魚涌 x 1
•Sheung Wan 西區有一個車友 x 2

Kwun Tong Line 觀塘綫
•Shek Kip Mei 石硤尾 x 1

Hire-a-Van fee
From Hong Kong Island to Tai Lam Country Park
Approx $300 one way, $600 return trip
If 4 riders share one Van, then approx $150 per person.

After thirty phone calls, booked a Van at 08:00 in the morning and informed everyone of the time & place.

Let's see how five guyz with five bikes squeeze into one Van :woohoo:

The optimal figure is 4 riders per Van :)

Alan, thanks for organising rides on your rare days off from both family and work. Its tough to do even amonst friends let alone strangers. If there is anything we can do improve this aspect of the website/forum so as to make this task easier for you and others to organise rides then please dont hesitate to suggest improvements. Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom,

The forum serves its purpose of communication very well.

It is just a logistics problem to pick up riders in different district that I'm not familiar of.

Given that I dont drive, I really cannot give direction to the van driver as I dont know the way. Luckily one of the rider do drive and is familiar with HK roads so with the help of a GPS smart phone, we're able to pick up all the riders and reached Tai Lam Country Park without much issue.
