BikeRadar's choice of the best bikes and bits from Interbike 2013.

MTB features halfway down, then some scary 'eye' candy ;)

The Pike looks interesting. Does it sit slightly lower in the hierarchy (in terms of travel) than the Lyrik?

Think the Pike's shortest travel is on the 29 wheel at 140. As an entry level fork sounds like it can handle a lot.

....however that SC 5010 isnt a MTB its pronography!!!

A 2014 Pike is totally not entry level at ~HK$7.5k per fork. :P It's "basically" a lighter version of the Lyrik, and available in all three wheelsizes (26/27.5/29) and travel of 130mm to 160mm. Basically.

They offer 2 versions, Dual and Solo. Solo is maybe not cheap by market standards but bang for buck its likely to feature on factory bikes aimed at less experienced riders imo.

Still dont know where you got your 130 figure from?

SRAM stuff gets specced a lot as OE stuff on bikes... so no surprise to see Pikes out and about. As for the 130mm... it's adding a 10mm spacer to reduce the travel, much the same as taking a 100m spacer out to get 150mm from 140mm. B)
