Get your Country Park Cycling permit NOW!

The Hong Kong Country Parks require any cyclists using the park's roads and trails to carry a valid permit. It's free, but will cost you a fine and court conviction if you fail to have one with you while riding in the country parks. wardens can stop you and make random checks.

Download your permit here (MS Word format, english), print it, fill it and send it by regular mail, you will generally receive your permit within three days.

This is also an ideal way to monitor the growth of biking in Hong Kong, the more bikers that have permits, the more pressure HKMBA can assert to get more trails open.
