Are indeed 2.4 Ardents front and back. Enough clearance to get a 2.5 in there I think... B)

... and a post for Rob P., who had a spin on my bike on Sunday 4th March and went down the new trail so fast, I think the following photo was take two... ;) :

... and some shots of the bike taken with a nice camera at home...

Proper view of the backend with 35mm offset seattube

Front view...

BB area view...

View of front mech... maybe can see the lower arm had been Dremel'ed off...

"There's an arm missing!"... wasn't needed and got in the way anyway!

Also the availability of all kinds of axle end-caps from QR to x142mm make it very convenience to swap wheels.

Indeed... and looks like Wiggle.co.uk might deliver (for a change over CRC... CRC don't have Hope 29er stuff!).

Hope Pro2 EVO with Stan's Crest 29er, Front Wheel, 90GBP (1100HKD):

Hope Pro2 EVO with Stan's Crest 29er, Rear Wheel, 157.50GBP (1935HKD):
www.wiggle.co.uk/hope-hoops-pro2-evo-mtb-rear-wheel/

CRC on the other hand list the Pro2 EVO axle conversions:

www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=68578

... and they are quite a bit cheaper than the old non-EVO conversion kits... I hazard a wild guess the cheaper EVO ones are just the end caps (as EVO hubs probably have a common axle), where as the older non-EVO Pro2 (and Pro3) required swapping out the axle occasionally too. Best bet to get a decent answer on what's required to get Pro2 EVOs running the way you want them on different bikes... email Hope Tech Support (whom are very good at replying to emails!):

Yup... all Hope stuff is made by Hope in the UK... scary huh? B)

ang wrote: Is that a RWS thru-axle at the rear? But I cant see the front QR clearly...regular QR up front?

Sharp eyes you got there ang! ;) Up front it's a regular Fox QR15, so there are 15mm end-caps for the Hope Pro2 hubs (which the wheels come with).

At the back, it's a DT Swiss 135mmx10mm RWS, where the end-caps are just the regular QR ones drilled through with a 10mm hole (these did need ordering separately). :D

Doesn't need a thru-axle at the back as it is plenty stiff already... but I just like the idiot-proofness of the RWS system. ;)
