Nothing special, really. Water, helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads (if you have them). Usual spares such as inner tube, and a pump. I think pp left his mobile # on the previous page. Have fun!

Hi Peter,

I just registered to the forum and I am quite new in Hong Kong. I would like to join you guys tomorrow for the ride (later is better cause saturday night but I can make 9am. 11 am could be easier :-)). I am living in Mid-level. Where and when is the meeting point ? I just received my Hong Kong MTB permit in case. Never ride in Hong Kong, anything special to bring ?

Cheers,
Jerome

OK, no worries and enjoy Shek O.

I will leave w the 9 am ferry and I hope for good weather. I did the trails last week and find them a good challenge - agree FS might work best ;)

Please join as you see fit :)

Have a nice weekend.

Hi guys - can't make Sun morning for Lantau as I need to give my hardtail to my mate and give him some basic riding tuition.

Aim is to do Shek O on early Sun morning before the hikers come out though (see "New to MTB" thread).

Hope any Mui Wo ride goes well, would like to check it out another time on my FS (did the coastal trail on my hardtail in commuter tyres, and while it was an interesting experience, it wasn't really one that I am terribly keen to repeat)!

I'd be in, whether it be 7am or later.

May be able to do this Sunday (instead of Shek O), but will need to start rather early. There's a freight ferry at 7am from Central (next one is 9am which is a bit too late for me). Are you interested, or is it too early for you? If so, can try and get permission.
